DIY: CHAIR FLOWER POT

Hello everyone. Hope your week is fantastic? Today I have this very easy and fun project you can make for your garden or balcony. It's a flower pot made from a chair and it will definitely add some cool atmosphere to your garden. All you need is an old chair, a pot and some plants or flowers.

Instructions:

Take your pot and place it upside down on the seat of the chair. Trace with a pen around the edge. Draw another smaller circle inside the first one, about a centimeter closer to the center. Use a jig saw and cut along the smaller circle. Fill your pot with flowers; place it in the chair and…voilá.

Have a great day!

BALCONY VEGETABLE GARDEN

I dream of a house with a small vegetable garden. I love the idea of growing your own greens and I know that someday soon I'll be doing just that. But at the moment we live in an apartment, and we have to make do with a balcony. So we decided to make a small herb and vegetable garden by using crates.

We built a stand for the crates, and made a couple of doors for it as well. You see, I live at the beach, and when it gets windy here i Denmark, you can pretty much double that wind here at the beach. So having a place to store pots, dirt and various gardening objects is quite necessary, or it will be rolling all over the place on a windy day.

On the wall of the balcony, we hung a couple of herb shelves. The shelves are made from small brick pallets, which we attached a couple of pots to.

We planted 5 different herbs and vegetables in the crates; rocket, spinach, spring onions, parsley and basil. They are all greens I use a lot in my cooking and it will be exciting to see them grow and be able to pluck leaves here and there for dinner.

This whole project has also created a really cozy atmosphere here on the balcony, which is very nice when you sit outside and you can smell the thyme and lemon balm

I'll will update you later in June on the progress of keeping a small balcony garden.

Have a great Friday.
